Ava is the newest member of our class and we are so pleased to have her!
We learned about the letter M and the sound it makes. We also talked about money since it starts with M. The children passed around different coins and then would say what the name was i.e. dime.
We started a unit on feet that will last until Thursday. Our circle time discussion included how many feet we have, what we wear on our feet, and the different kinds of feet that animals have.
We took turns showing the class what we could do with our feet and then everyone repeated it. Some children hopped, spun, jumped, and tapped.
We sand the song “Moving All Around” which included animal actions.
We made the Whose Footprints? Game. This required cutting which I am seeing improvements in.
The children became foot detectives and matched feet with the animal it belonged to.
I read The Foot Book and then traced each child’s foot. We compared all the feet. Tyler had the biggest and RenĂ©e had the smallest. Then the children colored their foot picture.
