Next we talked about boats and ships and looked at pictures of different kinds of pictures.

Our craft was “Sailboats.” First they had to glue on the light house pieces and color the sailboats. Then the children had to use water colors over the sailboats.

We sang “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” while pretending to row a boat.

We made space rockets and added them to our sailboat craft.

Today we learned about the letter N and practiced writing it.

We also learned about puffins and created a puffin puppet for our craft. I read the children “The Puffins are Back.”

We also learned about pelicans and created “Three Little Pelicans” for our craft.

We sang “Penguins, Pelicans, Puffins.” In the song, we had to guess which animal the words were describing.

The children pretended to be Pelicans and went fishing. They each held a sandwich bag in their mouth. They ran to pick up a fish and then had to carry it back in their pretend bill (the sandwich bag.) I learned that they are all cheaters:) They kept getting more than one fish as a time. It was fun to watch.
