We continued our Magnificent Me theme and talked about feelings today. We talked about how they felt when they woke up and how they felt now. We also talked about situations where one child might be sad while another might be happy. Using flannel board pictures, the kids had to guess how the person in the picture was feeling. Then we played a game where they had to say, “good morning,” as if they felt happy, sad, excited, and so on. Our craft was “The Story of Me.” This was a lot of drawing which some enjoyed more than others. Everyone liked getting their fingers printed. During the “Happy Hearts” game the kids had to move from one heart to the next while the music is playing. Once it stops, everyone has to get on a heart. A heart is taken away each time, but instead of being out, the kids had to share. They thought it was pretty funny for all of them to be on the same heart during the last round. We did a Lightning McQueen puzzle, at Tyler’s request. Our last 15 minutes was spent outside. We missed you Cameron and hope you feel better soon.
