Tuesday, September 16

We started with the letter B and practiced writing it. Then we talked about “Being a Family.” Everyone told me who is in their family and then we looked at flannel board pictures of kids helping their family by doing chores. The kids then thought of chores they could do to help at home.

Our craft was “Whose House Is It?” They got to color, cut, glue, draw, and put on stickers. They had to match up who lived in what house. We sang “Who Is In Your Family? They really enjoy running around in a circle while we sing.

We also talked about how we grow and change. They pointed out how we can tell that someone is older than us. We also learned that we can weigh and measure ourselves to know if we have grown. Each child got weighted and measured. They enjoyed seeing their names on the growth chart. We will pull it back out again at the end of the year. We sang the song “I Am Growing.”

After clean up time Tyler begged me to let them do puzzles. He loves the Lightning McQueen puzzle and now asks to do it every time he is here. The girls did a puzzle and the boys completed a puzzle.
