Our next topic was the start of Fall. We talked about the signs of fall and the kids were able to tell me the signs even though fall hasn’t really started here in Texas. We did “Whirly Twirly Leaves” as our craft. We did Five Little Squirrels fingerplay and sang “The Leaves are Falling Down.” The kids’ favorite activity of the day was pretending they were leaves. First they swayed in the wind, then fluttered, twirled, and finally laid flat on the ground. They really liked pretending to be raked up and piling up.
During free play time I got out the mega blocks for the kids to play with. We finished with a story and outside play time.
